When the time's right

[images are not my own, they are mere discoveries]

It's slowly creeping up to my birthday and I figured what better than to get another tattoo to mark the occasion?

At the moment I've just got the one, which is a bluebird on my wrist. I'm thinking of getting 'she flies with her own wings' in scripts along the nape of the back of my neck. You've probably noticed a connection, I feel that the two just matched. There is a story behind it, but that is a bit much to get onto here.

My mum being my mum wanted to have nothing to do with it, which I understand to a certain level. But after all it is my body and I am going to do what I want with it. The pictures above are just some rather creative and pretty tattoos that I've seen around. Ones that inspire me to get my own.

    1. I was a bit like that at first, but I kept coming back to the same design, so I went for it and haven't looked back.
If you are far too unsure though, don't get it. They are far too hard to remove :)

  4. That will be so cool, god I can't wait for when my boys want tattoos!! I'll be thee proudest mum, as long as its a ' I <3 mum' one (I joke). I can not wait to get my first, I have been changing my mind non stop. Now I'm older I know what I want. Go for it, like you say it's your body, your mum is being protective. So don't let it get you down and have a wicked birthday xx

    1. That's so great that you'd be fine with them getting tats! Haha I'm sure they could slip that in there somewhere.
It's a great feeling when you decide and then actually being able to go for it. Beware though you will become addicted!
      Thanks :)

  7. Ohhh I really like these tattoos. They completely break the stereotype that tats have, of being 'chavy' or 'hard' In fact, I think they are almost dainty and subtle.
